Mystery Box FAQ

Help! PayPal won't let me check out!

While we do accept PayPal as a payment method, unfortunately, PayPal does not support recurring subscription payments. If you're trying to sign up for a subscription, please select Debit/Credit Card at checkout to continue.

How do I update the payment method for my subscription? 

To update the payment method on your active subscription:

  1. Log into your account:
    Click the "Log In" button at the top right corner of the website. If you're already logged in, you'll see a round profile icon instead.

  2. Go to “My Subscriptions”:
    Once logged in, navigate to the “
    My Subscriptions” tab in your member area.

  3. Update your payment method:
    Select your active subscription and enter your new debit or credit card details.

If you haven’t created an account yet, be sure to sign up using the same email address you used at checkout—this will automatically connect your existing subscription.

What happens if my subscription payment fails?

If your subscription payment is declined:

  • You’ll receive an email notification about the failed payment.

  • Your subscription will enter a 7-day grace period to give you time to update your payment method.

  • You can update your payment info at any time during that grace period by logging into your account (see above).

⚠️ Important: If payment is not updated within 7 days, the subscription will be automatically canceled. Unfortunately, we cannot reactivate subscriptions from our end once canceled. You’ll need to sign up for a new subscription if you’d like to rejoin.

How can I cancel my subscription or change my order?

Please email us at atomheartcrossstitch@gmail.com if you need to cancel or make changes to your subscription. To avoid being charged, requests must be submitted before the renewal date for the current quarter. Check our subscription schedule for specific dates.

Will the boxes be themed?

No, the boxes are not themed. While one set of floss drops may be seasonal—like hearts in February or bats in October—there won’t be a single cohesive theme across all items in the box.

 

How many floss drops come in each box?

Each box contains two sets of floss drops:

  • The 12-pack box includes a total of 24 floss drops (2 sets of 12).

  • The 25-pack box includes a total of 50 floss drops (2 sets of 25).

Can I opt out of one box and pick back up later?

Not at this time. The boxes are offered through a recurring subscription model, and you will be charged every 3 months (from your original purchase date). To cancel your subscription, please email us at atomheartcrossstitch@gmail.com.

Can I purchase additional items to be shipped with my box?

Right now, our website doesn't support adding extra items directly to a subscription order. However, if you'd like something shipped with your box, feel free to place a separate order and leave a note at checkout—or send us a message! We’re happy to combine your orders and refund any extra shipping fee.

Can I change the floss drop shape or box size I initially selected?

  • Shape: Yes! While the website doesn’t currently allow you to change the floss drop shape each quarter, you can email us ahead of time and we’re happy to make that change manually. Please make any requests before the subscription renewal date—after that, we may not be able to accommodate changes.

  • Box size (12-pack or 25-pack): Unfortunately, we cannot make changes to the box quantity once your subscription has been created. If you’d like to switch sizes, you’ll need to cancel your current subscription and sign up again with your preferred size.

⚠️Important: Subscription spots are limited and often sell out. New subscriptions can only be purchased when openings are available, which typically happens during specific sign-up periods announced via our newsletter. If you're planning to change box sizes, we recommend checking availability first and joining the waitlist or newsletter to stay informed about open slots.

Will boxes be available to purchase individually?

Yes—but in very limited quantities. Once all subscription boxes have shipped for the quarter, any remaining overflow boxes will be listed on the website for individual purchase.

Are subscription boxes available internationally? 

Yes! We do ship internationally. However, please note the following:

  • Shipping costs are calculated based on weight and your location, which means international shipping can be pricey.

  • Shipping fees are charged at every renewal, along with the cost of your subscription box.

The total (box + shipping) will be automatically calculated and charged at checkout and again every 3 months on your renewal date.

How can I sign up if the website shows mystery boxes are out of stock?

If the mystery boxes are listed as out of stock, it means we've hit our current subscription capacity. We announce openings and overflow availability via our newsletter—be sure to sign up so you don’t miss a spot! Any available overflow boxes will also be posted to the site for one-time purchase when available.
